GIVE... A gift certificate from The Living Room makes the perfect gift for any occasion! Our Name Why the name The Living Room? I thought of the name years before I knew I wanted to create this place. It was one of those moments where an everyday word all of a sudden sounds different and you ponder on the deeper meaning. A “living” room is defined as “space required for life, growth, activity.” It also reminded me of comfort and relaxation. I love when coffee shops and book stores have that special “living room” area where you can just sit and dream. I began dreaming of creating a salon with that coffee shop feel and a style similar to what we saw when traveling through France and Italy. Ironically, in France they actually call their living room a salon. At some point it was official. I knew what I wanted to create. I wanted the beauty of a French “salon,” the comfort of my favorite coffee shop, and a space full of life, growth, and activity…and I knew the perfect name. Jolie Kiser, Owner |
